ABOUT DR. TAYLOR
The physician who connects what others see in pieces.
Some patients come to Entera with symptoms that remain unexplained despite years of testing, specialist evaluations, diagnoses, and recommendations. Others feel well but want a more sophisticated understanding of their physiology, risk factors, and long-term health.
Dr. Myiesha Taylor’s work begins with a central question: What might we be missing?
As Director of Integrative & Functional Medicine at Entera, Dr. Taylor evaluates symptoms, findings, and risk factors within the broader context of each patient’s history, daily life, and goals. She helps patients understand how the available information may fit together, which questions warrant closer attention, and what deserves priority.
Her perspective draws on the clinical rigor developed throughout her career as a board-certified emergency medicine physician, along with additional training in functional and integrative medicine, nutrition, functional psychiatry, and menopause and midlife health. Together, these disciplines inform the comprehensive, physician-led care she provides through Entera.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Taylor is an educator and advocate for health literacy whose belief that people make better decisions when they understand their health helped shape Entera’s educational philosophy and Medical School for YOU. She is also recognized as the real-life inspiration for Myiesha McStuffins, the physician mother featured on Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins.
“Someone is finally looking at the whole picture.”

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND ENTERA
From clinical urgency to a broader view of health.
Throughout her career, Dr. Taylor repeatedly encountered patients whose most important questions could not be answered by one finding alone. A specialist evaluation, laboratory result, or diagnosis might explain part of the picture while broader questions remained: What else may be contributing? What has not yet been considered? What deserves attention first?
Clinical rigor developed in emergency medicine
Emergency medicine trained Dr. Taylor to evaluate complex situations, recognize risk, interpret clinical findings, and determine what requires immediate attention. Every decision had to be grounded in evidence, clinical judgment, and careful prioritization.
That experience established the foundation of her work today: listen closely, gather the relevant information, distinguish meaningful findings from background noise, and create a clear sequence of action.
Looking beyond the immediate crisis
Many patients were not facing one isolated, acute problem. They were living with fatigue, disrupted sleep, cognitive changes, hormonal or metabolic concerns, chronic stress, and declining resilience that had developed over time.
To better understand those concerns, Dr. Taylor expanded her training across functional and integrative medicine, nutrition, functional psychiatry, and menopause and midlife health. Those disciplines broadened the factors she could consider while building upon her conventional medical foundation.
Bringing that perspective to Entera
At Entera, Dr. Taylor brings those disciplines into one physician-led approach. She considers symptoms alongside medical history, diagnostic findings, medications, lifestyle, daily function, and personal health goals to determine how the available information may fit together.
Physician leadership allows clinical judgment to carry through the entire process—from defining the right questions and interpreting findings to establishing priorities, guiding implementation, and evaluating progress over time. The result is greater continuity, clearer accountability, and a health strategy shaped around the individual patient.
